Day 1b Started

Welcome to the First of Two Saturday Main Event Flights

Hard Rock Tulsa is hopping and the RunGood Poker Series is hoping for big numbers on Saturday, starting with Day 1b, the second of three Day 1 flights. Friday night's Main Event flight drew 136 runners and Jesse McVicker bagged a whopping 254,000, easily good for the current chip lead.

After a successful stop in Tulsa last year and a huge turnout at Council Bluffs, Iowa last month, the series figures to crush the $100,000 guarantee for the tournament this time around. The winner will also receive a $10,000 WSOP seat for this year's main event.

Levels are set at 30 minutes for Day 1 and they will play 12 levels for flights 1b and 1c, scheduled for Noon and 7 p.m. local time Saturday. Stay tuned to PokerNews live reporting as we will bring you updates throughout, starting at Noon, just under an hour from now.

Early Pot for Evans

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

We caught the action with a board reading {7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Michael Evans check-called a bet of 1,500 from his heads-up opponent. The {4-Spades} fell on the river and Evans check-called a bet of 4,000, tabling {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. His top pair was good for a nicely sized early pot.

Pros Tangle

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

RunGood pros Jonathan Gaviao and Bryan Campanello were part of a four-way pot and saw a flop of {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Campanello bet 500 and only Gaviao called. The {2-Spades} turn brought two checks and the {k-Diamonds} river brought a check-raise from Gaviao to 2,300 after Campanello tossed out a single T100 chip.

After much verbal contemplation, Campanello finally mucked what he claimed was top pair. Gaviao happily raked the pot with a laugh and a smile.

Traber Takes One

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

James Traber followed a limp with a limp of his own from middle position and the player in the cutoff raised to 600. Papa Karn called from the button, as did the player in the small blind and Traber. The flop was {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and after two checks Traber's opponent bet 1,400. Karn and the player from the small blind folded and Traber made the call.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and Traber check-called a bet of 2,300. The {4-Diamonds} river brought two checks and Traber showed {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for the flopped set. His opponent mucked and Traber took the pot.
