A Few Counts

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Bunch Busts One

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Eric Bunch opened from early position and received one caller behind before an opponent moved all in for 19,400. Bunch made the call and his second opponent got out of the way.

Bunch: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Opponent: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Bunch sent his opponent packing.

Martin Finds a Double

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Dan "Wretchy" Martin raised to 3,000 from the small blind after a limp from his opponent and was called. The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Martin's lead bet was met with a raise all in from his opponent. Martin called and tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. His opponent would need help for his {a-Spades}{4-Spades} but didn't find it from either the {7-Clubs} turn or {5-Spades} river and Martin found a nice double.

Murfin Takes It All From Spriggs

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante
Randy Murfin
Randy Murfin

Randy Murfin and Rodney Spriggs tangled once again and, this time, Spriggs got all of his chips in preflop against Murfin. Spriggs was in bad shape with {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} versus the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} of Murfin, but was confident that he was going to hit his jack. The {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop gave Spriggs flush outs, but nothing came to save him as the {10-Spades}{2-Hearts} run out sent him to the rail.

"I needed a new seat anyhow", Spriggs quipped as he shuffled off to reenter, firing another bullet from his chamber.

Bunch Continues to Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Eric Bunch raised to 2,100 from under the gun and received four callers, including Lynn Samples from the big blind. The flop was {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Samples checked. Bunch bet 1,500 and pared the field to three with a call from Samples and one other player.

The turn was the {5-Hearts} and Bunch continued after another check from Samples, betting 7,700. The third player got out of the way and Samples made the call. Samples again checked after the {a-Hearts} fell on the river and Bunch continued the pressure, throwing out 15,500. Samples folded and Bunch gathered and stacked the chips.

Bunch O' Chips

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player limped from early position and James Traber raised to 1,000 from the hijack. Eric Bunch called from the small blind, as did the player in the big blind and the original limper. The {6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop was met with four checks and the {3-Hearts} turn was checked around to Traber who bet 3,000. Only Bunch called and they were heads up to the {7-Diamonds} river.

Both players checked and Traber turned over {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for second pair, but it wasn't good enough as Bunch found top pair, tabling {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Bunch is stacked nicely for the second half of Day 1c.
