Lowery Drags One Before Break

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Duma Lowery pushed all in for more than 30,000 over a 10,000 bet from an opponent in the big blind on a {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board. The bettor mucked, saying his kicker with his king wasn't good enough, and Lowery took the pot.

Players are now on break.

We found Dan "Wretchy" Martin all in for about 15,000 over a raise to 2,200 from a middle-position player. The player on Martin's left had put in his whole stack, covering Martin and the opener.

"I'm thinking about calling with seven-high," the opener said.

"I think we would both welcome a call with seven-high," Martin said with a laugh.

The player did decide to call with his stack of 20,400 holding {7-Spades}{5-Spades}. Martin showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the other player had {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. The board ran out {j-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Spades}, shipping the much larger main pot to Martin and the small side pot to the pair of sevens.

Thornton Stacking, Busts Karn

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Two players checked to Schuyler Thornton, who bet 15,000 from the button on a final board of {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}. The hijack folded but Terry Karn called it off for about 7,000.

"I have the nuts," Thornton, said tabling {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Karn showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and sent his stack to his left.
