Mader Collects

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Four players checked a {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop, bringing a {10-Hearts} turn. A player in the blinds fired out 3,500, and Phil Mader called from early position, while the other two in the pot folded. On the {6-Diamonds} river, the first player checked then called 6,000 from Mader. The Nebraska farmer showed an {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for a straight.

Rieck Doubles Through Brin

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jeff Brin bet 2,500 in middle position on a flop of {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Mike Rieck made it 5,500 from the cutoff and Brin moved all in without much delay to put Rieck at risk for around 16,000. Rieck let out a whistle but called after about 30 seconds.

Rieck: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Brin: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The turn and river both harmlessly paired the board as {4-Clubs} and {7-Spades} fell, and Rieck doubled through.

McMillen Puts a Beat on Rieck

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Mike Rieck bet 2,400 from middle position and got action from Ron McMillen on the button with the community reading {4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. A {j-Clubs} arrived on the end and Rieck fired 5,300. McMillen asked to see his stack and pushed all in, with Rieck quick to call off his last 4,000 or so.

McMillen slapped down {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the nut straight.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Rieck wondered aloud, showing {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} before exiting his seat.

"He didn't bet enough to get me out," McMillen explained to his tablemates after Rieck walked away.
