Faces in the Crowd

Tiffany Keathley
Tiffany Keathley

Thre are a handful of familiar faces among the 87 players in their seats midway through the first level of play. One such player is RunGood Ambassador Daniel Lowery, who was eliminated early in Flight A last night and was not seen having re-entered. His early entrance into the first of two flights today shows he is ready to get back at it and try to earn his way through on bullet number two.

Another player looking to get through on her second bullet is Tiffany Keathley, who took down the RGPS Game Seven Tunica Main Event in August, 2019 for a first-place prize of $48,796. Keathley was also seen in Flight A and had built a stack early before stalling out and finding herself among those to hit the rail shortly before play ended for the evening. She is another player who was in her seat and ready to get back to work when cards were in the air, setting her sights on earning a second championship ring for the season.

Cards In the Air

The tournament director has finished his requisite announcements and instructed dealers to shuffle up and get the cards in the air with blinds starting at 100/100.

Welcome to Flights B and C of the RGPS Bossier City $575 Main Event

RunGood Poker Series

The GPI-Award Winning Mid Major Tour of 2019, RunGood Poker Series continues Saturday with the final two starting flights of the $575 Main Event.

Though this tournament features a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, the 135 entries from Flight A have already generated over two-thirds of that figure. This means the guarantee is likely to be obliterated before cards go in the air for Flight B, with the sky as the limit moving forward.

Of the 135 to join Flight A, Matt Stroud is the player to catch among the 26 that advanced, finishing the day with 288,000 in chips. Both he and Suzan Samuels were the only two to finish the day with stacks of over 200,000.

Flight B will see cards in the air at noon local time with players receiving 20,000 in starting chips. Twelve levels of 30 minutes each are on the docket, with 15-minute breaks at the completion of every four levels or two hours of play. The day will reach its conclusion at around 6:30 p.m. local time, just in time for Flight C’s 7 p.m. start time. Like the flights that came before it, Flight C will feature an identical structure as the final opportunity to advance to Day 2.

PokerNews will be on the floor covering all the action across both starting flights. Make sure to stick around.
