Rivera Thins the Field Further

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Bodies have been flying out the door since late registration closed with just 72 players now remaining in today's flight.

Joshua Rivera is responsible for a recent elimination after he called on the button versus an under-the-gun limp and a middle position raise to 6,000 by Jason Bosze.

The under-the-gun player also called and the trio saw a flop of {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Rivera checked, and the under-the-gun player moved all in for 22,500. Bosze folded, but Rivera called.

Under the gun: {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Joshua Rivera: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {7-Clubs} turn and {a-Diamonds} river brought no help to the at-risk player and Rivera scored the knockout to boost his stack over 100,000.

Registration Closed

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Registration for Day 1b is now closed with 252 entries filling the Jack Cleveland Casino poker room throughout the day.

Play will conclude for the night at the completion of Level 15 or when the field is thinned to 15 percent, which would be 38 remaining players.

Napiervolo First Out the Door After Dinner

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With registration now closed, players' ability to reenter flight 1b is now done.

So when Blake Napiervolo moved all in for his last 21,500 in early position, he truly was at risk versus Dan Wagner, who called from the small blind.

Blake Napiervolo: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Dan Wagner: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop brought Napiervolo hope with a flush draw, with the {9-Spades} on the turn bringing even more outs with a straight draw. Unfortunately for him, the {k-Diamonds} on the river ended his night, but he'll still have one more chance with Saturday's flight 1c.

Richards Makes the Most of Limped Pot

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Mikha Richards

Five players saw a flop in a limped pot just before dinner, with the flop coming {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

Mikah Richards led out for 6,000 from the small blind. Albert Augustine called in the big blind, Chad Stone folded the hijack, Papa Karn folded the cutoff, and Frank Lagodich called on the button.

On the {4-Diamonds} turn, the remaining trio checked to see the {7-Hearts} on the river, double pairing the board.

Richards moved all in for about 30,000 and received folds from her two remaining opponents, sending her to break with a boost to her stack.

Miscommunication Seemingly Costs Iacovone

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Michele Iacovonezo
Michele Iacovonezo

Micahel Volk raised to 4,000 under the gun and was called by Michele Iacovione in the big blind.

On the {5-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Iacovone check-called a bet of 6,000 by Volk to see the {7-Diamonds}.

After a brief pause, Volk made a checking motion, assuming that Iacovone had checked. Iacovone was adamant that he had not acted, then frustratedly checked, with Volk again quickly checking behind.

The {q-Diamonds} then fell on the river, and after Iacovone checked, Volk checked once more, then rolled over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of queens.

Iacovone laughed to himself and shook his head slightly before sending his cards to the muck. Regarless, Iacovone still holds a big stack of well over 200,000 chips.

Stone Applies Maximum Pressure to Augustine

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Chad Stone
Chad Stone

After Albert Augustine limped in early position, Chad Stone raised to 7,000 in middle position. Augustine called and the duo saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

Augustine check-called a bet of 10,000 from Stone, then checked again on the {5-Diamonds} turn.

Stone now brought the hammer down, moving all-in for Augustine's remaining 76,000 chips.

Augustine quickly folded and Stone gave Augustine a courtesy look at {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for a flopped top two pair.
