Holloway Vies with Vyas

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Chad Holloway
Chad Holloway

With approximately 25,000 in the pot on a completed board of {10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Hardik Vyas bet 10,000 from the small blind into Chad Holloway who was under the gun.

The WSOP bracelet winner gave his decision some thought before flicking in calling chips to see Vyas' {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for top pair / top kicker. Holloway showed {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, mentioning he was relieved he didn't go broke by jamming the turn with his pair and nut flush draw that would have missed.

Meyers Roars Over 100,000

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Chris Meyers
Chris Meyers

With just over 50,000 in the middle on a completed board of {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds} Chris Meyers put a stack of brown T-5,000 chips forward which appeared to just cover his opponent who had checked in the small blind.

The small blind went deep into the tank, thinking for a couple of minutes before flicking in a calling chip.

Meyers showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a flopped two pair. The small blind mucked his hand, then counted down his stack which indeed was just covered by Meyers, who dragged the huge pot to put himself among the larger stacks in the room.

Bosze Building at New Table

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jack Corrigan moved his short stack of just over 15,000 into the middle from early position and was met with a call from jason Bosze in the small blind, who had just moved to the table shortly before this.

Jack Corrigan: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Jason Bosze: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, bringing no help to the winner of Event #1: The $420 Opener, and he was sent to the rail with the option to reenter until the start of Level 10.
