Price is Right in Big Multiway Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Five players committed 1,400 each before the dealer spread a flop of {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

The small blind led out for 2,200 and was called in three spots, including by Jesse Price in the cutoff.

On the {6-Clubs} turn, action was checked to Price who bet 7,500. The button called, as did the small blind.

The river brought the {q-Hearts}, and after his two opponents checked, Price moved all in for his final 6,200.

Both opponents folded and Price gave a courtesy show of his {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a turned ten-high straight.

Lagodich Scores an Early Knockout

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Frank Lagodich
Frank Lagodich

With roughly 13,000 in the middle already on a turn board of {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Frank Lagodich checked in early position to his opponent on the button who moved all in for approximately 20,000.

Lagodich made the call to see his opponent turn over {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a queen-high flush draw and an open-ended straight draw.

Despite his opponent's apparent world of outs, Lagodich was in great shape, holding {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a better flush draw with a made pair of nines.

The {2-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and Lagodich scooped the big pot to boost his stack above double its starting point.

Early Pot for Mackiewicz

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Kristan Mackiewicz called a late position raise in the small blind to see a flop of {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

After check-calling a continuation bet from her opponent to see the {6-Clubs} on the turn, she called another bet of 1,500.

On the {2-Diamonds} river she checked a final time and her opponent now shut down.

Mackiewicz tabled {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a winning two pair to push her stack over its starting point.

Hot Start for Kopp

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Katie Kopp
Katie Kopp

Katie Kopp was just seen with a stack approaching double its starting point already.

In a recent pot, she defended her big blind versus a raise to 500 from the hijack and a call from the cutoff.

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, with the trio checking the flop and turn through before Kopp tossed out a bet of 1,000 on the river.

Both her opponents folded and another pot was pushed to the WSOP bracelet winner.

Last Chance to Advance in RGPS Cleveland Main Event

Jack Cleveland Casino

With 438 entries already through the first two opening flights of the RunGood Poker Series Cleveland $800 Main Event, the tournament has already been a huge success, surpassing its $250,000 guarantee before cards are even in the air for Day 1c.

Saturday’s final flight is expected to be the biggest yet with the number of entrants today alone potentially approaching that number.

Those players will gather in the beautiful Jack Cleveland Casino poker room at 12:15 p.m. local time with hopes of finding a bag to take into Sunday’s Day 2, which takes place at 11:15 a.m.

They’ll be chasing the number put up by Day 1b chip leader Scott Katip, who will bring 568,000 chips into play Sunday, surpassing Day 1a chip leader Anthony Carbone’s total of an even 500,000. So far they are the only players to pass the half-million mark, but that number will certainly be challenged today.

As has been the case for the first two opening flights, play is scheduled for 15 40-minute levels with a 15-minute break after every third level and as was the case Friday, a 60-minute dinner break after Level 9.

Players will start with 30,000 chips at blind levels of 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Registration will remain open until the end of that dinner break and players who bust may reenter as many times as they please.

While 15 levels are planned, play in the first two flights wrapped up at the alternate point of when just 15 percent of the field remains. This came in Level 13 in Days 1a and 1b.

Be sure to stay with PokerNews for live reporting from each day of action until the first ever RGPS Cleveland Main Event champion is crowned.
