Darland Next To Fall

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action folded around to Anthony Scarborough in the small blind and he open-jammed for the roughly 90,000 that Jason Darland held in the big blind. Darland called and the two were off to the races.

Darland: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Scarborough: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Scarborough's landed on the right side of the coin, hitting his ace on a runout of {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to eliminate Darland in 94th place. Three more eliminations are needed for play to reach the money.

Green Flips for His Tournament Life

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ronald Green got his stack of 71,000 into the middle preflop from under the gun against Dan Dykhouse, who was in the small blind.

Green: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Dykhouse: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Green saw a relatively uneventful runout of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} come on board to score him the double.

In the meantime, three other eliminations have occurred in the opening minutes, and 95 players now remain. Five more are needed for the tournament to burst the bubble and make it into the money.

Bush Jams the Flop

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Preflop action saw Nate Steuer raise in early position and call a three-bet from Stacy Bush, who was in the small blind to bring about 75,000 into the middle.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Bush went all in for 91,500. Steuer went into the tank for close to two minutes, talking himself through his thought process and ultimately announcing that he had to fold.

"Ace-king," responded Bush as he tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Steuer said he folded {k-}{q-} and the pot was shipped Bush's way.

Ten Tables Remain

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Blair Hinkle on Day 1
Blair Hinkle on Day 1

Less than 100 players now remain and the tournament is one table's worth of eliminations away from reaching the bubble. Other recent eliminations have been listed below, including RunGood Ambassador Blair Hinkle.

Booth Runs Into a Bigger Pair

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Booth: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Welch: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

May Done In on the River

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Kipp Smith opened to 12,000 in middle position and Cony May re-jammed for 43,500 in the hijack. Action folded back to Smith, who counted his stack to be a little over 10K more than May's. He let out a small chuckle after realizing the decision would be for the majority of his stack, and he found a call.

May: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Smith: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

May was able to fade the three remaining aces in the deck, but Smith flopped an open-ended straight draw on {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} that completed on the river after the runout finished {4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.
