A field of 195 entries took their shot at advancing to Sunday’s Day 2, and the $300k guarantee was hit an hour before registration closed. Play wrapped up at the end of level 14 as scheduled, with just under 18% of the field remaining.

Other notables to make it to Day 2 include RGPS Ambassadors Ray Henson (214,00), David Tuchman (147,000), and Jamie Kerstetter (107,000) as well as Brian Frenzel (155,000), and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Yuval Bronshtein (71,000).

Players that unfortunately did not find a bag were RGPS Ambassadors Kris Burchfield and Jonathan Gaviao, as well as Joey Garguilo.

The final of the three opening flights will take place Friday, with a starting time at noon. Players who failed to advance Thursday and Friday will have another shot at making it to Sunday’s final day of play, and even those who did make it through Day 1ab can hop in again in hopes of accumulating a bigger stack to take into Sunday instead of their total from this flight.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for our continuing coverage of the event until a champion is crowned on Sunday at the action-packed bestbet Jacksonville!

End of Day 1b; Players Bag

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Play has officially ended for Day 1b of the RGPS Jacksonville $1,200 Main Event and players have begun the bagging process.

Stay tuned as a full recap of the day's events will be released shortly as well as complete chip counts.

Holland Dodges to Double

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After a brief betting war, Adam Foley and James Holland got all their chips into the middle before the flop, with Holland at risk.

James Holland: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Adam Foley: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Holland was a favorite going into this matchup, but the flop of {4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs} gave Foley a flush draw for a good sweat and the turn {j-Diamonds} gave him even more outs to a straight.

Fortunately for Holland, the river came the brick {8-Hearts} to award Holland the pot for a double-up.

Kopp Doubles with Rockets

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a three-way flop of {5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Billy Kopp made it 10,00 to go and was called by William Mitchell and Lan Vo.

On the turn {2-Diamonds}, Kopp fired again for 25,000 which produced a quick fold from Mitchell, but then Vo moved all in to cover Kopp.

Kopp snap-called and flipped over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} while Vo sheepishly tabled {9-Spades}{6-Spades}.

The board completed with another {2-Clubs} on the river and Kopp was awarded the pot for a successful double-up.
