Davis Defeats Dick to Double

Kirk Brown
Kirk Brown
Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Craig Dick opened to 5,000 preflop and was called only by Marquez Davis in late position to see the flop of J♣5♠3♣.

Dick then continued for another 5,000 and Davis responded by moving all in for 7,900 total. Dick quickly made the call and Davis flipped over 8♠8♥ for a pair of eights.

"Well, this is funny," Dick chuckled to himself as he flipped over 7♦7♣ for an inferior pair.

The board ran out 9♣9♦ for Davis' eights to hold and the pot was pushed his way for the double-up.
