From Third to First: The Chris Allen Story

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Allen
Chris Allen

After a preflop betting war, Chris Allen managed to get all of the chips into the middle against two opponents, each with stacks of around 30,000.

Player 1: AQ
Player 2: 1010
Chris Allen: 77

Allen was in second place going into this matchup but was quickly demoted to third when the flop came out Q54 when one of his opponents made a pair of queens.

Wildly enough, the board ran out 5J to give Allen runner-runner spades to make a flush, awarding him the substantial pot and scoring him a double knockout. This win boosted him up to around 215,000 in chips and is now sitting with one of the larger stacks in the room.

Always a Sweat

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

After an open to 4,200, "Legendary" Kaleb Dunn three-bet to 10,000 but he was then four-bet by josh Roberts who moved all in for around 32,000.

The original raiser promptly folded and Dunn made the call, putting himself at risk as the cards were tabled.

Kaleb Dunn: AK
Josh Roberts: AK

"Good luck sir," Dunn joked as the players realized they had the same hand, but the flop of 6A5 gave Dunn the nit flush draw for a big sweat.

Luckily for Roberts, the board ran out 410 and the two players chopped up the pot.

"Sorry guys, I have to make it a sweat or they'll take away my union card," the dealer joked as he gave each player their share, to which the table heartily laughed.

Cornelius Beats The Blind Hand

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Jules Cornelius
Jules Cornelius

After moving all-in blind the previous hand, Matt Kschinka moved all-in blind once more under-the-gun and was called by Jules Cornelius to put him at risk.

Matt Kschinka: 99
Jules Cornelius: AA

"Wow, I actually have a real hand!" Kschinka exclaimed when the cards were tabled.

Unfortunately, his pocket nines couldn't hold up to Cornelius' aces on the 63QKK board.

"Did i win?" Kschinka joked as his chips were pushed over to Cornelius and he headed to the rebuy desk, vowing to return.

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

After a raise to 1,600 preflop, Terakun "Papa" Karnchanakphan, Lionel Jiang, and the late position player went to a flop of 7102.

After a check from Jiang, Karnchanakphan bet out 2,600 and produced a fold from the late position player and a call from Jiang.

The turn came out the K and Karnchanakphan continued for 1,600 and Jiang again check-called.

The 4 came on the river and JIang checked once more, to which Karnchanakphandecided to check back and tabled J9 for a pair of jacks but was then shown J10 by Jiang for the same pair of jacks but with a higher kicker to award him the pot.
