Level 15: Blinds 4,000/8,000/8,000
On a heads-up flop of Q♦A♣7♠, Yang Li checked to Richard Harris, who bet 15,000 into the pot and Li quickly called to see the turn 8♥.
Both players then checked to the river Q♠, which paired the board.
Li checked, Harris fired for 28,000, and Li snap-called. Harris flipped over A♦10♣ for aces and queens, but Li rolled over Q♣10♦ for trip queens to take the pot.

Level 15: Blinds 4,000/8,000/8,000
On a flop of 9♥3♣3♦, the pot was bloated to around 240,000 as Christopher Rudd was already all in with Wilson Tolon and Angelo Krastas battling it out on the side.
Tolon was first to act and he checked to Krastas, who fired out a bet of 100,000, which sent Tolon into the tank. Eventually, Krastas called the clock on Tolon who eventually opted to fold, which allowed Krastas to take back his 100,000 while the hands were tabled.
Christopher Rudd: K♦K♣
Angelo Krastas: J♠J♥
Rudd was in good shape with his pocket kings, and the runout of 6♣2♦ kept ut that way for him to win the pot for a triple-up.

Level 16: Blinds 5,000/10,000/10,000
With 27 players remaining and 26 paid, they are now on the money bubble and the action is hand-for-hand.
Level 15: Blinds 5,000/10,000/10,000
Before the flop, John Rami moved all in, followed by Debra Pope for more, and then Cody Golden called for less to put his tournament life at risk.
John Rami: A♦A♥
Cody Golden: A♠K♦
Debra Pope: Q♠Q♥
Rami was well in the lead with his aces, and the flop of A♣Q♦3♠ was wild as he and Pope both made a set. The runout of 6♥10♣ changed nothing and Rami was shipped the main to triple while Pope took down the side pot to eliminate Golden.
On a neighboring table, Yahor Yuzefovich moved all in preflop and was called by Angelo Krastas to put him at risk.
Yahor Yuzefovich: K♦Q♦
Angelo Krastas: A♥3♥
A king appeared right in the window, but unfortunately for Yuzefovich, an ace appeared right behind it on the flop of K♥A♠6♣ to give Krastas a big lead.
The runout of 9♣J♣ did not save him and Yuzefovich was eliminated.
Since both players were eliminated simultaneously, they split the min-cash for $520 each while the rest of the players are now in the money.

The action was hot-n-heavy throughout the day as the fast-paced structure encouraged action early on, with multiple all-ins seen in as early as Level 2. As was expected, today’s flights featured mostly the local players, with many notables expected to arrive tomorrow to fire in this weekend’s flights.
There was one notable name who got in early enough to fire his shot today in the form of Jeff Platt, but unfortunately will have to try again tomorrow as he fell late in Day 1b. Falling close after him was Bay Area local Dan Stavila, who has been on a bit of a hot streak in the past few months and will definitely be looking to extend it as he fires again over the weekend. Yousef Salameh, a final tableist in this event last year, also found the rail today but will be sure to emerge again over the next few opening flights.
Some recognizable names who did bag include RGPS ring winner Brett Murray (147,000), Travis Fujisaka (254,000), and Andrew Nguyen (259,000).
Tomorrow will feature the same structure with flight Day 1c firing off at 10 a.m. and 1d following at 3 p.m. local time.
Stay tuned as PokerNews will be bringing you all of the updates here at Thunder Valley!
