Welcome back to The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship! It's the third day of this epic tournament series and it will feature the final flight, Day 1e.

As with yesterday, with this $600 buy-in, players will receive 30,000 in chips and will play 30-minute levels, starting at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Play for Day 1 flights will continue until the field is cut down to 12.5% and those remaining players will then be "In the Money" and will then play down to 10% who will bag up for their return on Day 2.

So far, Day 1abcd has seen 887 players enter the arena and only 50 of them found a bag for Day 2, with the chip stack to beat being held by Kenneth Burke with an impressive 885,000. Play in all four of the previous flights has lasted roughly nine hours with each ending right around Level 17 with blinds at 6,000/12,000/12,000. Being the final flight, it is expected to be the largest thus far and will most certainly break the $500,000 guaranteed for this event.

Players can re-enter this event only once per flight, and with two flights already in the books, the maximum a player can enter this event will be a total of six times. Late registration will be open until the start of Level 9, so approximately 2:45 p.m. for 1c and 7:45 p.m. for 1d.

Stay tuned as the PokerNews updates will continue to roll in as the coverage of The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship gets underway!

Matzinger Doubles Through Pham

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Alex Matzinger moved all in preflop and was called by Ryan Pham to put him at risk early in Level 2.

Ryan Pham: 77

Matzinger would need to improve to stay alive, and he sure did as the board ran out 392QJ to give him a pair of queens on the turn to earn the double.

Bob Mather made it 3,200 to go preflop and was called by Ryan Pham to see the dealer spread the flop of JK3.

Pham checked, Mather continued for 3,000, and Pham check-raised to 10,000.

Mather then responded by moving all in and received a quick fold from Pham to win the pot. Mather then flashed AK for top-top as he raked in his new chips.

"Yeah, that's about the only hand I could put you on there," Pham said.
