$600 The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship
Day 1e Completed
After ten hours of play, Day 1e of the $600 Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship has ended with 36 players putting chips into a bag. They will combine with the 90 players from the previous four flights on Monday, July 29, at noon for the much-anticipated Day 2.
Leading the way is still Kenneth Burke from Day 1c with 885,000 and close behind him is Elias Travis with 870,000. In third is Casey Sandretto who bagged 835,000 and in fourth is Ratu Caucau with 766,000. Rounding out the top five is none other than The Hendon Mob’s own Anthony Charter who managed to bag up 755,000 in today’s final flight.

As with all of the previous flights, the action was all gas and no breaks throughout the day as the turbo-esque structure encouraged action early on, with several players hitting the bricks as early as Level 1.
Day 1e smashed expectations and garnered a whopping 358 entries to push the total number to 1,245, creating a prize pool of $648,960. Some notable names that played in today were hometown favorite Tyler Patterson, RPGS Player of the Year Brian Winter, Bob and Lexy Mather, Daniel ‘Donk’ Hughes, and PokerStars Ambassadors Joe Stapleton and James Hartigan. Unfortunately, none of these players were able to find a bag and retreated to the loser’s lounge, aka the 3 p.m. $500 Summit Stack Day 1a.
The action was going so fast today that it seemed like the flight was going to end earlier than the other flights, but the money bubble ended up lasting an hour and forty minutes as players tightened up and all of the short stacks kept doubling up. Ironically, once the bubble burst, nine players were lost in the following 15 minutes to end play for the day, right on schedule.
The 126 players will return at high noon tomorrow with 28:22 left in Level 17, with blinds at 6,000/12,000/12,000. After the completion of 17, the level duration will increase to forty minutes and will remain as such for the duration of the tournament. Play will continue until a champion is crowned and awarded the Hendon Mob Mid-Major Trophy, along with the first-place prize of $105,920.

Short-stacked David Olson was forced all in from the big blind, Ed Smith raised to 30,000, and one other player called to see a flop of 2♦8♠2♣.
Smith then led out for 50,000 to produce a fold from the other player on the side, and the cards were tabled.
David Olson: A♦9♣
Ed Smith: K♦8♣
Olson would need to catch an ace or a nine to stay alive, but the runout of 6♠4♥ failed to do so, and he was sent to the rail on the stone bubble.
