Donnie Phan raised to 4,500 from the button and Mark Davis called from the big blind.
The flop was 8♣5♦5♣ and both players checked all the way through the 6♠ turn and the K♥ river. Davis turned over Q♠9♠ for queen high and Phan shook his head and rechecked his cards before he tossed it in the muck.

Day 1c has drawn 217 entries, which brings the total across all three flights to 660. The unofficial end point for Day 1c is when 27 players remain.
Prize pool and payout information will be posted when they are official.
The opening flight of Saturday's double feature has come to an end with 33 players remaining from the original 259 entries.
In the lead is Chris Dandrea, with an outsized 657,000, followed by Dale Humphrey with 444,000 and Robert Logan with 436,000. Shane Bissinger and Tina Visconti round out the top five with 426,000 and 410,000, respectively.
All 33 surviving players will join the other two flights on Sunday at 12 p.m. in the poker room at Horseshoe Tunica.
Day 1c is well under way with 146 entries reporting in so far through the first three levels of the evening. PokerNews will resume live coverage of Day 1c at the beginning of Level 9.
Gary Bass was all in for his last 38,000 and Dorothy Crossman was the one to put him at risk. The rest of the tables finished and the cards were turned up.

With 33 players remaining in Level 15 with blinds at 4,000/8,000/8,000, Day 1b will play hand-for-hand until 32 players remain.
Brandon Proctor defeated Paul Smith in heads-up play to top a field of 85 entries and win $5,013. The 85 entries created a total prize pool of $17,000, from which 11 players were paid out at least $454. Anthony Travia, Walter Hunter, and Mark Oglesby rounded out the top five of the opening day tournament.

Jaymie Virtusio was all in for her last 49,000 and reigning champion Jack Keller III was the one to look her up. The rest of the table was out of the way and the dealer was ready to go.
