Brett Stevens Eliminated in 10th Place ($7,030)

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Brett Stevens
Brett Stevens

On a heads-up turn of 81037, Greg Brletich checked to Brett Stevens, who moved all in for 540,000.

Brletich then went into the tank for a long while before he finally slid out a stack.

"Good call," Stevens sighed as he tabled his hand, his tournament life on the line.

Brett Stevens: 52All in
Greg Brletich: K9

Stevens wasn't quite dead yet, as he could still hit a non-spade deuce or five, but the river was the 4 to give Brletich the flush and he was eliminated in 10th place.

Short-stacked Shane Swank moved all in preflop for around 400,000, followed by a shove from Dane Miller for more, and then the action folded to Andrew Manchen who also put his chips into the middle, covering both.

Shane Swank: QJAll in
Dane Miller: KKAll in
Andrew Manchen: QQ

Miller was a big favorite to scoop the entire pot, and these odds were greatly increased on the flop of 3K4 as he made top set.

Ironically, the runout of 6Q gave Manchen a set of queens on the river that was no good and the massive pot was shipped over to Miller.

"Wow, well that was really bad timing," Swank sighed as he shook his head and headed to the payout desk as the first casualty at the final table.

David Berman

After an open to 160,000 by Thomas Gray, David Berman moved all in and the action folded back Gray who made the call.

David Berman: A3All in
Thomas Gray: A10

The flop of 107K left Berman drawing very slim and the turn 5 was the nail in the coffin while the J river eliminated him in eighth place.

Greg Brletich shoved from the cutoff and it folded to Kyle Grupp in the big blind who made the call to put him at risk.

Kyle Grupp: AQ

Brletich would need to improve to stay alive, but the runout of J101043 did him no favors and he was eliminated in seventh place.

Manchen Makes the Call

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Andrew Manchen
Andrew Manchen

Andrew Manchen made it 200,000 to go preflop and was called by Michael Valore to see a flop of 4QA.

Manchen led for 150,000 and Valore called to continue to the 8 turn. Manchen bet again for 200,000 and was called once more by Valore.

When the J hit the river, Manchen fired again for 200,000, but then Valore moved all in to cover, which sent Manchen into the tank.

After almost a minute, Manchen made the call and Valore tabled Q3 for just a pair of queens, at which point Manchen rolled over A10 for a superior pair of aces to take the huge pot.
