Brletich then went into the tank for a long while before he finally slid out a stack.

"Good call," Stevens sighed as he tabled his hand, his tournament life on the line.

Stevens wasn't quite dead yet, as he could still hit a non-spade deuce or five, but the river was the 4♠ to give Brletich the flush and he was eliminated in 10th place.

Short-stacked Shane Swank moved all in preflop for around 400,000, followed by a shove from Dane Miller for more, and then the action folded to Andrew Manchen who also put his chips into the middle, covering both.

Miller was a big favorite to scoop the entire pot, and these odds were greatly increased on the flop of 3♦K♣4♥ as he made top set.

Ironically, the runout of 6♥Q♣ gave Manchen a set of queens on the river that was no good and the massive pot was shipped over to Miller.

"Wow, well that was really bad timing," Swank sighed as he shook his head and headed to the payout desk as the first casualty at the final table.

The flop of 10♦7♥K♦ left Berman drawing very slim and the turn 5♦ was the nail in the coffin while the J♥ river eliminated him in eighth place.

Manchen Makes the Call

Andrew Manchen made it 200,000 to go preflop and was called by Michael Valore to see a flop of 4♥Q♥A♥.

Manchen led for 150,000 and Valore called to continue to the 8♠ turn. Manchen bet again for 200,000 and was called once more by Valore.

When the J♠ hit the river, Manchen fired again for 200,000, but then Valore moved all in to cover, which sent Manchen into the tank.

After almost a minute, Manchen made the call and Valore tabled Q♦3♥ for just a pair of queens, at which point Manchen rolled over A♦10♣ for a superior pair of aces to take the huge pot.
