Sparky Strikes Again

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Sparky Covert
Sparky Covert

Sparky Covert moved all in preflop for close to 100,000 and then Ian Richardson moved all in for more, forcing folds from the rest of the table. Covert then stood up and slapped his cards on the table, quite confident.

Sparky Covert: 74All in
Ian Richardson: KK

"Oh, well, I can't beat that!" Covert admitted and stood up, but then the dealer spread the flop of 586 to give him a straight and the table went nuts.

The runout of 42 changed nothing and Covert was shipped the pot for the double.

Daniel "Donk" Hughes
Daniel "Donk" Hughes

Daniel 'Donk' Hughes moved all in preflop for his last 15,000 and the action folded all the way around to Amir Kamari in the big blind who made the call to put him at risk.

Daniel Hughes: A3All in
Amir Kamari: A6

It looked as if they were going to chop on the turn 7Q10J, but the river was the K to give Kamari the nut flush to eliminate Hughes.

Smith Throws Caution to the Wind

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Jamie Smith
Jamie Smith

A player moved all in for 34,000 and the action folded to Jamie Smith, who thought for a few seconds.

"Ah f*ck it," he announced and tossed his chips into the middle to put the player at risk.

Jamie Smith: AK

Some of the players rolled their eyes at the fact that Smith would say that with such a strong holding, and they thought it bit him in the ass when a jack appeared in the window, but a king appeared right behind it on the flop of JK5.

The turn K left the at-risk player drawing dead while the 3 river sent him to the rail while Smith gathered the pot.

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Timothy Mulroy
Timothy Mulroy

Dean Schultz moved all in preflop for close to 13,000 and was called by one player before Timothy Mulroy shoved over the top for close to 100,000.

The action folded back to the first caller who ultimately folded after some confusion and the hands were tabled.

Timothy Mulroy: KK

The runout of 2cjs5d10hkd] gave Mulroy the pot while Schultz was eliminated. Meanwhile, the other player admitted to folding ace-queen that would have hit a straight on the river to eliminate both players.

Schultz has since bought back into the tournament and is seated at another table.

Ijeoma Uzoaru moved all in preflop for around 18,000 and the action folded to Casey Bogus, who did not hesitate to make the call to put her at risk.

Casey Bogus: 36

"Oh my god, not the three-six offsuit mafia!" Another player laughed at this crazy call.

The table almost lost their minds as a six appeared right in the window, but an ace came right behind it on the flop of 6A8 to strengthen Uzoaru's lead. The runout of 102 was also safe for her and she was pushed the pot for the double.

Matthew Archer

After a preflop betting war, Matt Archer, Jamie Smith, and Kenneth Wasik got it all in preflop, with Wasik covering.

Matt Archer: 44All in
Jamie Smith: A9All in
Kenneth Wasik: A2

Archer would need to hold with his fours to stay alive, and miraculously, the runout of 853K10 was clean for him to scoop the main pot while Smith took down the side for a double.

Andi Sulovari

After some preflop back-and-forth, Andi Sulovari and Yousef Zeibaq got all of their chips into the middle and shared a laugh as they tabled the same hand...

Unfortunately for Zeibaq, the flop was not his friend as it came out 767 to give Sulovari a freeroll with his nut flush draw. Zeibaq managed to fade the turn 6, but the river fell the 3 to give Sulovari the win and he was sent to the rail in brutal fashion.
