Day 1bc of the $800 Main Event is in the books here at RGPS Rungood Resort Council Bluffs. A total of 282 hopefuls made their way to Horseshoe Council Bluffs with the goal of finding a bag: 155 in Day 1b and 127 in Day 1c.

However, at the end of the night just 33 players advanced to Day 2 and will be in the money, bringing the total number of Day 2 bags to 48.

In total, 403 entries were tallied in this edition of the $800 Main Event, generating a prize pool of $282,100, crushing the guarantee of $200,000.

Leading the way from today’s flights is Nick Barksdale with 577,000. In second place is Mark Fink who finished with 548,000. Rounding out the podium in third is Day 1c chip leader Siphonh Tran with 528,000.

Day 2 starts tomorrow Sunday, November 24 at 12 p.m. local time. Play will begin with 32 minutes remaining in Level 14 with blinds at 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 big blind ante. Levels will be 40 minutes in length on Day 2 through to the end of the tournament.

The seat draw for Day 2 will be posted in the morning, and the prize pool information will be posted shortly after play begins. All players who advanced to Day 2 are in the money.

Mo Nuwwarah opened the hijack and Ryan Ramsdell called on the button before James Devaney three-bet to 42,000 from the small blind. Nuwwarah folded while Ramsdell put in the call.

On the 842 flop, Devaney jammed for 150,000 and Ramsdell put in the call.

Benjamin Valder opened the cutoff and Daniel Lowery called in the big blind.

On the Q85 flop, Valder continued before Lowery check-raised and Valder put in the call.

The turn brought the 7. Lowery jammed as the covering stack for 146,000 effective and Valder tanked for around two minutes before he decided to call it off.
