Biggest Stacks in the Room

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Here is a look at the five biggest stacks as the soft bubble approaches with 45 players remaining.

Hindman Flips the Script in Massive Double

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

It folded to Terry "TJ" Harrell in the small blind who raised to 11,000. In the big blind, Casey Hindman jammed for 134,000 and Harrell snapped it off.

Casey Hindman: A3 All in
Terry "TJ" Harrell: AJ

Harrell was in good shape to extend his chiplead with the dominating ace until the K63 flop paired Hindman's kicker. Harrell could not improve on the 44 runout as Hindman doubled with the worst of it in a huge pot.

Break Time

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The players are going on another 15-minute break.

There are currently 48 players remaining, with just the final 33 being in the money and guaranteed a minimum cash of $1,403.

Play resumes in Level 13 with blinds of 2,000/4,000.

Paxton Shows the Goods

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Doug Paxton
Doug Paxton

Local favorite Doug Paxton opened to 8,000 from under the gun and was called by a player in middle position as well as the big blind.

On the 753 flop, the big blind would lead for 7,000 and only Paxton put in the call.

The big blind slowed down with a check on the 6 turn before Paxton fired out a bet of 15,000. His opponent would think it over for almost a minute before he opted to let it go, conceding the pot. Paxton was kind enough to show 55 in the hole for a flopped set as his opponent made the right fold.

Place Extends Lead with Double KO

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Johnnie "Mike" Place opened from middle position before the small blind jammed for 31,000. The big blind then rejammed for 46,500 before Place called to put both players at risk.

Small Blind: AQ All in
Big Blind: 1010 All in
Johnnie "Mike" Place: JJ

Place was in good shape against the big blind but needed to fade the two overs of the small blind. The 862 flop kept Place in front before the board ran out 25 which was no sweat for Place as he took out two players and extended his lead atop the chip counts.

Assorted Counts

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Hinkle Shows Why Everybody Loves Jacks

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Grant Hinkle had a raise to 13,500 in front of him from the small blind before the big blind jammed for 52,500, and Hinkle put in the call.

Big Blind: KQ All in
Grant Hinkle: JJ

It was a flip for six figures as the 332 flop kept Hinkle in the lead. Nothing changed on the 810 runout as the jacks held on for Hinkle as the field size ticks below 60 left.
