He's Got a Buncha Chips

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Eric Bunch
Eric Bunch

Three players committed 3,500 preflop with two players in middle position along with Eric Bunch from the hijack.

Both the KJ7 flop and the J turn checked through.

On the A river, the first player tossed out a bet of 5,000 which earned one fold. However, Bunch would then put out in a raise to 20,000 and his opponent called after a small tank. He got the bad news as Bunch tabled 64 as he went runner-runner to make a flush and got extra value on the river as he becomes the largest stack in the room.

Schoonover Finds His King

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After three limpers, Jared Schoonover made it 8,500 to go from the small blind before Karen Rutherford jammed for 24,100 from the small blind. It folded back to Schoonover who reluctantly put in the call as the covering stack.

Karen Rutherford: QQ All in
Jared Schoonover: KQ

Rutherford was in good shape to double on the 842 flop until the K landed on the turn, giving Schoonover the lead. To rub salt in the wounds, another player admitted that they folded a queen, meaning that Rutherford was drawing dead to the 2 river on her way to the rail.

Smith Drills Two-Outer to Survive

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Three-ways to the turn with the board reading 885Q, John Smith bet 2,600 from early position before the button raised to 7,000. The big blind folded before Smith jammed for 21,500 and his opponent called.

John Smith: AA
Button: J8

Smith was outflopped by the trip eights of the button and had just two outs to survive. However, the dealer peeled the A on the river to give Smith a full house and he doubled in dramatic fashion.

Lady Luck Saves Wiske

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A player opened to 2,300 from early position before Jason Wiske jammed for 19,800 from the big blind, and his opponent snapped it off.

Jason Wiske: QQ All in
Early Position: KK

Wiske was in rough shape with the dominated pair and had his suits covered. However, the Q appeared in the window followed by the A7. Wiske held on through the 55 runout as he filled up to flip the script and he doubled.

Hitt Flies American

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A player opened to 1,300 from middle position before Donald Hitt three-bet to 3,000 from the hijack. Michael Murphy called in the cutoff, as did the original opener.

On the 444 flop, it checked to Hitt who fired for 6,000 before Murphy clicked it to 12,000. The other opponent folded before Hitt jammed for 48,100, and Murphy begrudgingly called as the slightly covering stack after a small deliberation

Donald Hitt: AA All in
Michael Murphy: 88

Hitt woke up with the ones as Murphy needed to find one of the remaining two snowmen to improve. However, the board ran out 6Q and the aces held on to secure the full double for Hitt.
