The players on Day 1b begin with a 40,000 starting stack, including 10,000 additional chips for a $60 staff add-on. The schedule calls for 40-minute levels on each starting flight, with a break every three levels and a 45-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9. Late registration remains open until the end of Level 12, with unlimited reentries allowed.

The day concludes once 12.5 percent of the field remains, with all surviving players in the money at the start of Day 2. Even players who survived Day 1a may enter again and try to better their stack; players with multiple Day 1 bags will receive a min-cash on Day 2.
