Barbara Hays limped from early position and was followed by another limp in the next seat over by Donna Henry. Alejandro Guerrero chose to raise to 700 from the hijack. The raise was called by Lawrence Thomas in the cutoff before Zachary Smyth opted to re-raise to 1,500 on the button. The bet was called by the four remaining players to take them to a flop.
A series of checks occurred after the 4♥10♦8♠ flop fanned out. Thomas chose to bet 1,800, which elicited folds from Hays and Henry, but was called by Guerrero and Thomas.
The 7♥ turn saw a check from Guerrero before Thomas announced he was all-in for 600. Smyth and Guerrero called.
Both remaining players checked the K♠ river.
Thomas showed 9♦8♥ for a pair, but it was no good as Smyth revealed Q♥10♥. Guerrero folded without showing to award the pot to Smyth and deliver an early knockout as Thomas exited the table.
