Level 25 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Bill Durr
Bill Durr

Carl Masters raised to 160,000 in early position and Brian Durr min-clicked it to 240,000 from the small blind. Masters four-bet shoved all in and Durr quickly called.

Brian Durr: 99All in
Carl Masters: AK

The flop fell QJ10 and Masters flopped the nut straight to leave Durr drawing slim. The 8 on the turn locked it up and the 5 on the river was just a formality. The stacks were counted and it was Durr who was at risk for 1,425,000. Masters had him covered by a single 5,000 chip.

Marlon Hammond open-shoved all in for around 1,000,000 in the hijack. Unfortunately for him, Rafael Lopez woke up with a premium on his left and reshoved over the top.

Rafael Lopez: KK

Hammond was in tough with two undercards and the flop provided no help for the short stack. The turn bricked as well and Hammond was drawing dead to the river.

Masters Holds for a Double

Level 24 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

BJ McBrayer opened to 120,000 in middle position and Carl Masters shoved all in for 685,000 in the cutoff. Cody Stanford reshoved all in on the button and the action folded back to McBrayer who threw his pocket nines face up into the muck.

Carl Masters: JJAll in
Cody Stanford: AK

The flop came 1098 and Stanford picked up a flush draw to go with his two overcards. The 2 on the turn was safe for Masters and so was the 3 on the river as he doubled up.

BJ McBrayer: QxJx

The flop came J74 and Paxton was still out front with the better kicker. However, the Q on the turn gave McBrayer two pair and the 9 on the river was no help to Paxton.

Stanford Plays It Sneaky

Level 24 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Josh Butler raised to 150,000 from under the gun and was called by Cody Stanford and Eric Salazar in the blinds. The flop came KJ9 and Butler continued with a bet of 120,000. Stanford and Salazar both called to see the Q on the turn.

The action checked around and the A hit the river. Stanford led out with a bet of 485,000 which got Salazar to fold. Butler gave it his full attention but decided to fold as well.

"You call preflop?" Stanford asked Butler, who got a nod. "I played my hand poorly then. I got sneaky," Stanford flashed his 1010 to the table.
