Fourth Batch of Day 2 Casualties

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Tomokatsu Kumano
Tomokatsu Kumano

With fewer than 70 players remaining in a fast-paced environment, the chip leader for Day 1c has been among the many casualties. Tomokatsu Kumano was sent to the payout desk in 65th place and was joined by fellow early big stacks Takaten, yukine, and Dorami.

Yuta Turns The Goods

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the 965 flop, KAITO123 was all-in out of the small blind for around 325,000 and showed the KK for an overpair. Yuta in middle position had 98 for top pair and a gutshot, which instantly hit on the 7 turn. The river was the 3 and KAITO123 headed to the rail with a bad beat story to tell.

Kanasuke Continues Impressive Surge

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Kanasuke had qualified for Day 2 with a shorter stack and earned an early double-up. Since he was moved tables multiple times, the stack had grown significantly and he also knocked out Ryo. The latter got it in for a shorter stack with the K6 and Kanasuke had an easy call holding the AA.

The AJ37 turn left Ryo drawing dead prior to the 7 river. With that elimination, all three players shown as Ryo in the official Day 2 seat draw have now been knocked out with fewer than 60 players in contention.

Hamachiiii No Longer the Underdog

Level 21 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

dogpapa got their stack of around 315,000 into the middle after he three-bet and then called all-in to the shove of Hamachiiii.

His AQ was ahead versus AJ but a jack came in the window of the KJ9 flop. The 3 turn and 4 river were blanks and dogpapa was sent to the doghouse - well, the payout desk.

Another Double for ryota622

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Out of the big blind, ryota622 got his stack of 350,000 in after the J82 flop and was up against the button with the 109. His J2 had flopped top and bottom pair, which held thanks to the 10 turn and K river.

rf8mitu

Whittled down to a shorter stack, rf8mitu was all-in and ahead with KJ out of the blinds. Jon needed help with the J8 and got there on the 98634 runout to reduce the field by one. rf8mitu had to settle for 66th place as the early carnage on Day 2 continues without a break.
