Scott Hirsch opened the action in early position with a raise to 40,000, and when it folded to Randy Francis in the cutoff, he three-bet all in for 180,000. Then Trey Bartlett on the button four-bet all in for 255,000, which got the blinds and Hirsch to fold, leaving the players heads up with Francis at risk.

It was a race for Francis's tournament life, and when the board ran out 8♣5♥Q♦J♠8♠ his pocket sevens were still best, giving him a double up.
