Bill Backes raised to 40,000 from the cutoff, which was called by John Roberts on the button. Then Scott Hirsch in the small blind three-bet to 150,000. Once the big blind folded, Backes four-bet all in for his stack of 425,000, and Roberts five-all in for his stack of roughly 1,100,000. Hirsch gave it a quick thought before mucking his hand to leave the players heads up, with Backes at risk.

Roberts slow played his kings and was able to take the sizable pot once the board ran out 3♠J♥2♠3♦6♥ and eliminated Backes.
Action was picked up on the turn with Peter Brooks all in for 150,000 and Jacob Foley putting him at risk. There was roughly 150,000 already in the pot and the board showing 4♥8♠K♠K♣.

Foley ran into the aces of Brooks, and the river was the 10♥ which changed nothing, giving the double up to Brooks.
Action folded to Jacob Foley in the cutoff and he raised to 30,000, which was called by the big blind William Bodine
After the flop came 6♥8♣J♠ Bodine checked to Foley who bet 30,000 before Bodine raised all in for his stack of 125,000, which Foley snap called.

Bodine was in front with his pair of sixes, but once the board ran out 7♥ on the turn and 5♦ on the river, Foley turned a pair and made a straight on the river to take the pot and send Bodine to the payout desk.

Action was picked up with Peter Brooks all in for 69,000 from the small blind and Gregory Bertels on the button calling to put him at risk.

Brooks was in front with his pocket kings, and once the board ran out K♠A♣9♠2♥8♠ he improved to a set of kings to secure the double up.
Action folded to Keith McKuin in the hijack, and he raised to 25,000. He was called by Ron Green in the cutoff, and the big blind Jerry Knoche .
After the flop came J♥K♦8♥ it was checked to McKuin who bet out 55,000. Green made the call, as did Knoche, leaving just 1,000 chips behind.
The turn was the J♠ and Knoche checked to McKuin, who fired out 62,000. Green quickly folded and Knoche put in his last 1,000 chip to put himself at risk.

Knoche flopped a pair and went with his hand but was left drawing dead after McKuin turned trips. The 10♣ completed the board to officially give McKuin the pot and eliminate Knoche.
