Day 1c saw the largest turnout of the series, drawing 223 entrants, with 28 players making the money and advancing to Day 2. Jacob Foley emerged as the flight’s chip leader — and the overall chip leader across all flights — after bagging an impressive 924,000.

Hand-for-hand play on the money bubble lasted just one hand, as Cory Plante’s pocket kings clashed with Todd Reno’s pocket jacks. Despite holding a healthy stack with several shorter stacks still in play, Reno found himself at risk. The board offered no help, and Reno was eliminated as the bubble boy, sending the remaining 28 players into the money and on to Day 2.
Day 1d drew a total of 171 entrants, and during the flight, the tournament director announced that the field had officially broken the RGPS St. Louis Main Event record, with a total of 638 entries across the four Day 1 flights. The chip leader at the end of the night was Keith McKuin, who bagged 625,000.
McKuin emerged as the Day 1d chip leader, thanks in part to a key hand that also burst the money bubble. Action folded to a player in the cutoff who moved all in with pocket jacks, and McKuin called with ace-king suited. The jacks held through the flop and turn, but a king on the river gave McKuin the winning hand, eliminating his opponent, securing his chip lead, and officially sending the remaining players into the money and on to Day 2.
