Over 2,000 was in the middle on the flop of K♦Q♦4♦. Justin Williams and Jeffrey Day both checked before Stevenson bet. Williams responded with a check-raise to 9,000. Day called, and Stevenson folded.
Williams kept up the aggression on the A♠ turn with a bet of 10,000. Day took some time before he jammed for 34,300 total. This put Williams into the tank, who thought about his decision for a couple of minutes before he decided on a call to put Day at risk.
Jeffrey Day: A♦J♦
Justin Williams: K♠Q♠
Day had the goods as he showed that he flopped the nut flush. Williams, however, was not drawing dead as he could improve to a full house on the river.
The 2♦ river was not one of the cards Williams was hoping for as Day took down the pot with his flush.
Robert Sellers got it started with a raise to 1,000 from early position. Bradley Anderson called on the button, and Scott Yacullo defended his big blind to make a three-handed pot.
Yacullo and Sellers both checked the 5♠2♣4♠ flop before Anderson chose to bet 5,500.
This led to folds from both Yacullo and Sellers to award the pot to Anderson.
Steven Gnatovich, Randy Brown, and Lance Austin each put 4,000 in the middle preflop to begin the hand.
The flop came A♦3♦2♦, which led to a check from Gnatovich and Brown before Austin chose to bet 4,000. Gnatovich called, and Brown folded.
Both players checked the 5♦ turn, which led to the 4♥ river.
Gnatovich bet 11,000 on the river. Austin considered his decision for a moment before he folded to yield the pot to Gnatovich, who is off to a good start so far on Day 1a.
Charles Himes began the hand with a raise to 1,000 from early position. Joe Stevenson defended his big blind to send them to a flop.
The 3♦5♣5♦ flop was met with a check from Stevenson. Himes continued for 1,100 before Stevenson opted to check-raise to 3,500.
Himes gave it some thought, but he eventually folded to award the pot to Stevenson.
