Cooler Between Chung and Mallina

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

There were approximately 9,500 chips already in the pot on the board, which consisted of 3Q69, when this hand was picked up.

Aruna Mallina chose to bet 12,000 on the turn. This bet put Jae Chung in the tank as he pondered his decision. Chung decided on an all-in for 32,500, which was enough to cover his opponent. Mallina dipped his head down as he gave it some thought before he decided to call to be at risk for his tournament life.

Jae Chung: AA

Chung had Mallina in bad shape as they faced the final card together. The J river was paint, but it was not the right kind of paint for Mallina as he was coolered during the first level of the tournament.

Flashback: Sasha Sabbaghian Takes Down $600 The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Sasha Sabbaghian
Sasha Sabbaghian

Sasha Sabbaghian’s journey during last weekend’s $600 The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship was in doubt multiple times at the Thunder Valley Casino and Resort.

Sabbaghian, at one point, was down to 50,000 in chips with 15 remaining in the tournament. His prospects were bleak, but a few double-ups got him back in the game, and he rode that wave all the way to The Hendon Mob trophy, RGPS ring, and the $95,295 top prize as he outlasted a total of 1,111 entries to lock up the title.

“Earlier in the day, I was down to three and a half bigs, spun it up, got back down to three and a half bigs, and spun it up again,” Sabbaghian said. “So after I spun that up, from the fifty, I was just like, all right, this is just meant to be. It was honestly the craziest tournament I’ve ever played.”

Saeteurn Wins Against Affleck

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Sou Saeteurn raised to 600 from the hijack. Matt Affleck chose to raise the price of admission to 2,000 in the next seat over. Saeteurn called to send them to a flop heads-up.

Both players checked the J67 flop and the 8 turn.

This led to the free 5 river. Saeteurn gave it a moment's thought before he bet 3,000 into Affleck, who responded with a prompt fold to award the pot to Saeteurn.
