Aiden Behr raised to 100,000 in the hijack and Matthew Gawel flat-called in the cutoff. They went heads-up to a flop of Q♣7♣6♣ and Behr continued with a bet of 125,000. Gawel just called and the 5♦ landed on the turn.
Behr shoved all in for 675,000 on the turn but was met with a snap-call from Gawel.

Behr's aces ran striaght into a red-hot Gawel who flopped a flush. The 3♠ on the river was meaningless and Behr was bounced in sixth place.
Matthew Gawel opened to 115,000 from under the gun with 9♠9♣ and Joseph Furmanek three-bet to 325,000 in the cutoff with A♠10♣. It folded back to Gawel who just called to see a flop of 9♥4♦2♥.
Gawel checked to Furmanek who counted out a bet of 250,000. Gawel check-raised to 700,000 and Furmanek gave it some thought but made the wise decision to let his hand go.
The action folded to Zhehao Jin on the button who ripped all in for 420,000. Michael Hindi also pushed all in for 450,000 in the small blind and Joseph Furmanek debated but folded his big blind.

Hindi was the one in the dominating position and the flop of 7♦6♦2♦ left it that way. The Q♣ on the turn left Jin with just three outs and the 5♥ on the river was not one of them.

Gawel splashed in a bet of 170,000 and Wu ripped all in for 470,000. Gawel instantly called and the cards were on their backs.

Gawel flopped trip sixes but Gawel turned a straight to take the lead. The river was the 8♥ and Wu was forced to settle for eighth place.
Joseph Furmanek opened to 80,000 from under the gun with 10♠10♣ and Matthew Gawel three-bet to 215,000 in the cutoff with A♣K♠. The action folded back to Furmanek who just called to see a flop of Q♣6♦3♣.
Gawel continued with a bet of 125,000 and Furmanek called. The 10♦ rolled off on the turn and both players checked to the A♥ on the river. Furmanek checked one more time and Gawel wisely checked back top pair, only to see the set of tens from Furmanek.

Furmanek had a dominating holding and the flop of 10♣6♣6♦ left him well out front. However, the 9♣ on the turn paired Wu and the 8♣ on the river improved him to a flush to double up.
Surya Ramjali limped in from the small blind and Matthew Gawel checked his option in the big blind. The flop came K♥Q♥9♣ and Ramjali led out with a bet of 115,000. Gawel raised it up to 350,000 and Ramjali clicked it back to 900,000. Gawel instantly shoved all in as the big stack and Ramjali called off his stack of 1,755,000.

This was two of the chip leaders getting nearly half of the chips in play in the middle. Ramjali flopped the nuts but Gawel had all of the outs to make a better hand.
That instantly came in the form of the 10♦ on the turn, giving Gawel a better straight. He improved once again on the 4♥ river and Ramjali was eliminated in ninth place.
