Jain Strikes Against Gawel
Level 28
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Matthew Gawel raised to 175,000 on the button with A♣K♠ and Prakhar Jain called in the big blind with 6♥5♣. The flop came 7♥4♥3♣ and Jain just check-called a bet of 100,000 from Gawel.
The A♦ landed on the turn and Jain checked again. Gawel sized up a bet of 235,000 and Jain check-raised to 900,000. Gawel sat back in his chair as he pondered the situation unfolding and eventually announced all in. Jain called off his stack of 1,355,000 and the cards were face up.
The river was the 6♣ and Jain earned himself a double up, putting a healthy dent into the chip leader.
