Big Pots on Table 1

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Rip Fritzer
Rip Fritzer

Many of the big stacks have found their way to the same table and it didn't take long for them to all collide in some sort of fashion. Zhehao Jin raised from under the gun and was called by Rip Fritzer a couple of seats over. The flop came K73 and Jin continued with a bet of 20,000. Fritzer raised to 60,000 and Jin just called.

The turn was the 10 and Jin checked this time. Fritzer jammed all in for 121,000 and Jin went back into the tank. The clock was called and Jin ran out of time, forcing his cards to the muck.

On the next hand, Alec Jahed opened to 16,000 and Fritzer three-bet to 40,000. The action was back on Jahed who four-bet shoved all in for around 130,000 and Fritzer snap-called

Alec Jahed: 1010All in
Rip Fritzer: JJ

The board ran out 98597 and Fritzer's pair of jacks held on to eliminate Jahed in another massive pot.

Maksim Tatarintsev
Maksim Tatarintsev

Maksim Tatarintsev raised it up to 15,000 on the button and Zhehao Jin called in the big blind. The flop came 1072 and Jin check-called a bet of 13,000 from Tatarintsev.

The turn brought the Q and both players checked to the 4 on the river. Jin checked one more time and Tatarintsev splashed in a bet of 25,000. Jin went into the tank for well over two minutes, getting a reaction from some of his tablemates. He eventually folded and Tatarintesev couldn't wait to show his 85.

The Ultimate Spin Up

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Scott Downey
Scott Downey

It wasn't too long ago when Scott Downey was down to just a single big blind. In fact, it was just a couple of levels ago. After returning from the break, Downey now holds the clear chip lead as the only player with more than 300,000 chips in front of him.

With just 27 players remaining and 14 of them moving on to Day 2, Downey has positioned him to not only make the money, but have a healthy chip stack as well.

Jin Climbs the Ladder

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Zhehao Jin
Zhehao Jin

Josh Mok opened to 9,000 in early position and Zhehao Jin shoved all in for 103,000 on the button. Alec Jahed went into the tank from the small blind but ultimately decided to fold. Mok gave it some thought as well and he opted to call off his stack of just over 70,000 chips.

Josh Mok: 99
Zhehao Jin: JJ

Jin had the better of the two pocket pairs and the runout of 87253 was no help to Mok.

"What did you fold?" Mok questioned to Jahed.

"Ace-king," Jahed replied.

"Why didn't you call so I didn't have to?" Mok joked.

Michael Souza: A5All in
Alec Jahed: Q10

The flop came 963 and Souza's ace-high was still in the lead. However, the 10 on the turn paired Jahed and he held on through the 7 river to eliminate Souza.
