The tournament clock shows 36 players remaining, as they have reached another 15-minute break.
Play will continue until the final 12 players are left to bag for Day 2.
Gionna Lee limped on the button, and Alexandra Loveless did the same in the small blind. Colin Wickman checked his big blind option, following Loveless with a check on the 7♦5♥2♠ flop.
Lee fired 8,000 into the middle, and Loveless replied with a check-raise to 24,000. Wickman quickly folded, while Lee slid in a call.
Loveless then announced all in on the 10♠ turn for her last 48,500. Lee counted out calling chips before opting to let it go, and Loveless picked up the pot before break.
John Ryan and Mauricio Miranda both committed 9,500 sitting side-by-side in middle position, and the dealer fanned out the 10♣J♥K♥ flop.
Ryan checked to Miranda, who slid out a bet of 12,000. The call was made, and both players followed the Q♣ by tapping the table. Ryan led out for 21,000 on the 2♦ river, and Miranda sent his cards into the muck.
Bryan Hicks limped in middle position, and Mohammad Nabatian moved all in from the big blind. Hicks took a moment before making the call, as Nabatian flipped over his hand.
Mohammad Nabatian: A♦K♣
Bryan Hicks: 9♠9♦
Nabatian took the lead on the 5♠A♠10♠ flop, while Hicks picked up a flush draw. The 4♥ turn was a blank, and Hicks hit the 8♠ river to win the flip and send Nabatian out of the opening flight.
Level: 12
Blinds: 2,000/4,000
Ante: 4,000
Action folded around to Douglas Drees in the small blind, who moved all in covering Steve Sparks in the big blind. Sparks opted to make the call, and was at risk as the cards were turned up.
Steve Sparks: Q♦J♥
Douglas Drees: A♦K♣
Drees remained safely in front through the 5♦10♦6♣ flop and 6♥ turn, but Sparks spiked the Q♥ river to make two pair. That left Drees with less than two big blinds, which were gone shortly after.
William Lee raised to 16,000 from under the gun, and Christopher Tan moved all in for 49,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back around to Lee, who made the call.
Christopher Tan: A♠Q♦
William Lee: 9♠9♦
Both players hit the A♥9♣2♦ flop, as Tan's pair was no good against Lee's set of nines. The 6♥ turn and 8♠ river changed nothing, as Lee sent Tan to the rail.
