Karn Leaves Dorothy on Fumes in Blind-Versus-Blind Cooler
Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
"Big pot right here. Blind versus blind," tablemate Daniel Hughes said as Papa Karn and Patrick Dorothy went to the turn on a board of 8♣Q♦Q♣J♥. Karn then got in his last 63,000, and Dorothy put him at risk.
Karn showed K♠Q♠ for trips, while Dorothy could only show Q♥7♥. The river was the 5♠ and Karn's king-kicker continued to play to earn him the massive double up, leaving Dorothy with just one chip behind.
