Sargent Hits Gin on the Turn
Level 16
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Quintin Sargent bet 20,000 from middle position on a flop of A♠9♠J♠ and Evan Ashkarkhizani called in the big blind.
The turn was the 7♣ and Sargent bet 40,000. Ashkarkhizani then moved all in, and Sargent snap-called for 137,000.
Ashkarkhizani showed Q♠J♦ for a pair and flush draw, while Sargent had turned a set with 7♥7♠. The river was the 6♣, and Sargent doubled up.
"About the only card in the deck I wanted to see," Sargent said as he raked in the pot.
