At another table, Richard Gordon and Ernest Grant saw a flop of 7♦5♥5♣ when Gordon got in his last 30,000 from the cutoff. Grant called under the gun.

Gordon had run his kings right into Grant's aces, and the 8♠ turn and 9♣ river offered no help as he was sent to the rail.
"Nothing you could do about that," Grant said.
Aaron Habiger raised to 7,000 in the hijack, Madhukar Virupakshi moved all in for 38,000 in the cutoff, and Habiger called.

Daniel Hughes moved all in for 35,000 in the small blind and Papa Karn put him at risk in the big blind.

"Ran into it. If I get out of this one," Hughes said after Karn turned over his aces. Hughes picked up a pair on the Q♥7♥10♠ flop, but he improved no further on the 5♦ turn or Q♣ river and was sent to the rail.
"If you don't win this tournament, you'll never be an ambassador again. We're cutting you off," Hughes joked with Karn.
With late registration closed, tournament officials have confirmed that there were 57 entries into this flight.

Hebert then moved all in, and Jones quickly folded.
Rodney Spriggs moved all in for 15,000 from middle position and Chris Freeman called under the gun.
