Vandergriff Brought Back to the Table
Level 18
: Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Brandon Artis moved all in for 180,000, and Billy Vandergriff shoved his stack of 171,000 on the button.
Billy Vandergriff: K♠K♦
Brandon Artis: A♦6♦
Vandergriff emphatically turned over his kings, which remained ahead on the 7♥9♦10♦ flop.
"I like those diamonds," said Artis leading Vandergriff to think he was behind. The 6♣ turn gave Artis additional outs, but the Q♥ river left Vandergriff's kings ahead.
Vandergriff stood up and walked away from the table before the players summoned him back to show the good news. Vandergriff collected his double-up, while Artis lost his last 9,000 chips on the next hand.
