MGM National Harbor will again play host to a crop of hopefuls chasing the championship ring when Day 1b of the RunGood Poker Series Golden Expedition Maryland $1,300 Main Event begins at 11:15 a.m. local time.
Yesterday’s opening flight saw 36 players take a shot at securing a piece of the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool, with only five already earning their ticket for Day 2. Christopher Caruso (730,000) and Casey Hatmaker (712,000) finished as the two massive chip leaders, while Steven Hlavinka (141,000), Nathan Bomey (110,000), and Alan Gendelman (107,000) followed far behind.

New and returning players will try to track them down today on Day 1b. Players will begin with a 50,000 starting stack, and levels will be 40 minutes. Late registration remains open until the end of Level 9, with unlimited reentries available during the registration period. The day will conclude once 12.5 percent of the field remains.
There is also Day 1c tomorrow at 11:15 a.m. before all surviving players then combine for Day 2 on September 27 at 12:15 p.m. The action on Day 2 will pick up at the earliest finishing time from one of the three starting flights. Day 1a ended with six minutes remaining in Level 15 with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and an 8,000 big blind ante.
