Welch Bests Rocquin

Tristan Welch is having a strong first level on Day 1a. This hand was picked up with over 7,000 already in the pot on a board that read Q♦9♦5♥6♥.

Welch fired out a bet of 6,000 and was called by Christian Rocquin.

The 2♠ river did not deter Welch, who put out a wager of 8,000. Rocquin gave it some thought before he flicked in the call to go to showdown.

Welch tabled K♣K♠. His pocket kings were good as Rocquin mucked his hand to award the pot to Welch.
