McCaffrey Cracks Sanderson's Kings
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
This hand had swelled to over 25,000 when this hand was picked up on the 6♣8♠3♠ flop.
Timothy Sanderson led out for 15,000 from the small blind. Tim McCaffrey shoved for his final 15,800 and was called by Sanderson to be at risk.
Tim McCaffrey: A♠5♠
Timothy Sanderson: K♠K♥
McCaffrey was hunting for a spade or an ace, while Sanderson was looking for his pocket kings to hold.
McCaffrey did not have to wait long, as the Q♠ turn improved him to a flush and gave Sanderson no recourse to win the hand on the river.
The 10♥ came down on the river to complete the board as McCaffrey scored the double with his flush on the turn.
