Randy Hockey got it going with an open to 1,200 from early position. The open was called by Jonathan Tackett from middle position, Craig Hyppa from the hijack, Joffrey Gaetz in the cutoff, and Steven La Scola on the button to create a five-handed pot.
The 10♦9♥9♣ flop was checked to La Scola on the button. La Scola took the initiative with a bet of 4,200. His bet was called only by Tackett.
Both remaining players checked the 8♠ turn, which brought the 7♠ river. Tackett checked again, but La Scola chose to put more chips in the middle with a wager of 13,000. Tackett mucked after some thought and awarded the pot to La Scola.
This pot had grown to approximately 20,000 on a complete board of A♠2♣5♦4♠10♠ when this hand was picked up.
Herbert Harsar checked his option from early position before Anthony Paradise followed with a bet of 15,000 on the button.
Harsar took his time to think over the spot. He decided on a call, and the opponents went to showdown.
Harsar announced two air, but it was no good as Paradise showed K♠6♠ for a rivered flush.
Odeh Wahdan opened from early position before Derek Feierabend put him all-in from the cutoff. Wahdan obliged with a call and put himself at risk for 14,500.
Odeh Wahdan: A♠J♦
Derek Feierabend: 9♣9♠
Wahdan and Feierabend were in a coin flip to start the race.
The flop was a sensational one when it fanned out J♠J♣9♥. Wahdan slammed trip jacks, but it was still behind as Feierabend flopped a full house to stay in the lead.
Wahdan gained some outs on the 2♠ turn as any ace or deuce would give him a higher full house with one card left to go.
The river elicited a reaction from the table when it came the 2♣ to upgrade Wahdan to a full house and the best hand as he out ran Feierabend with a higher boat on the river.

The pot had already heated up when this hand was picked up on the flop of 5♣5♥3♠ with over 15,000 already up for grabs in the middle.
Joseph Daddario shoved for approximately 24,000 from the small blind.
Jason Freeman made the call and put Daddario at risk.
Joseph Daddario: 8♣8♦
Jason Freeman: 9♣9♥
Daddario had the overpair, but it was just shy of the best hand as Freeman had him out-pipped with his pocket nines.
The J♣ was a safe card for Freeman, as Daddario still had two outs with one card to go.
Daddario was unable to find his eight on the J♥ river as he busted from the tournament.
This pot was picked up on the flop of a board that read 10♣7♦A♣ with over 5,000 in the middle. Jalen Morris checked his option from the cutoff before Anthony Paradise bet 3,500 on the button. Morris called.
Morris knuckled the 6♦ turn. Paradise fired 3,000, and Morris called.
The 5♣ river was checked once again by Morris. Paradise followed with a bet of 5,000. Morris gave it some thought but he eventually decided on a fold as Paradise took down the pot.
