Level 13
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mitchell Semple bet 15,000 from the button on a flop of 4♣7♠6♦ and Matt Perlman called in the big blind.
Semple bet another 15,000 on the 5♣ turn, and Perlman again called. The river was the K♥ and Perlman moved all in for 100,000. Semple let out a loud groan and stood up from his seat before putting in the chips to call.
Perlman showed A♠3♦ for a straight, but Semple had 8♥7♥ for a higher straight to win the pot and send Perlman to the rail.
"What were you afraid of?" Kim Parrish asked him.
