Busy Day in Store For the Final Two Starting Flights of the RGPS St. Louis Main Event
The Hollywood Casino poker room is expected to be packed today when Day 1c of the RunGood Poker Series Golden Expedition St. Louis $800 Main Event begins at 11 a.m. local time.
The first two starting flights yesterday saw 165 players take their shot at the championship ring and $200,000 guaranteed prize pool, with 20 advancing to Day 2. Andros Ioakimides led the pack with 682,000, followed by Kyle Antonacci (596,000), William McCracken (484,000), Darroll Sayles (420,000), and Jeff Riebeling (409,000).

Gateway Poker Classic champion Brett Hagopian is also through with 271,000, as is 2023 champion Keith Heine (247,000). RunGood ambassadors Craig Welko (196,000), Jeff Copeland (152,000), and Chris Audrain (143,000) have also secured a ticket for Day 2.
A crowd of hundreds more is anticipated today for the final two starting flights. Players will start with a 40,000 stack, and the first eight levels will be 30 minutes. Late registration remains open until the start of Level 9, when levels will extend to 40 minutes for the rest of the day. Play will conclude once 12.5 percent of the field remains.
In addition to Day 1c, there is also a Day 1d flight later tonight at 5 p.m. The survivors from the four starting flights then combine for Day 2 tomorrow at noon. The action on Day 2 picks up at the earliest finishing time from one of the starting flights. Day 1b ended with 10 minutes remaining in Level 14 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and a 6,000 big blind ante.
