The field has grown to 53 entries so far, with late registration remaining open for another four levels.
Brett Hagopian and John Roberts went to the turn on a board of Q♠J♥3♣4♣ when Roberts bet 2,700 from the hijack. Hagopian then raised to 12,000 on the button, and Roberts moved all in. "I might be dead already," Hagopian said as he called for 27,800.
Hagopian, however, found himself ahead with A♥Q♣ against the K♦Q♥ for Roberts, and the 10♣ river kept him in the lead to earn him the double up.
Korey Barron raised to 1,500 in early position and Keith Heine three-bet to 5,000 in the hijack. The cutoff called, as did Barron.
The flop came 5♠4♠7♦ and Heine bet 3,000. Only the cutoff called, and they went heads-up to the 4♥ turn. Heine then bet 9,000, and his opponent again called.
Heine bet 11,000 on the 3♣ river. "Looks like so much value," his opponent sighed as he called, and Heine showed him K♣K♠. The cutoff flashed J♣J♠ as he mucked.
William McCracken was recently eliminated but quickly reentered, while Cecil Toler has also hit the rail.
Tyler Breeding raised to 1,300 in the hijack before Harry Cheatham three-bet to 3,300 on the button. Breeding then four-bet to 8,000, and Cheatham called.
The flop came 8♦3♣5♠ and Breeding bet 5,000. Cheatham called, and they both checked the A♣ turn.
Breeding resumed betting with 7,000 on the Q♣ river. "Kings no good?" Cheatham asked as he called, and Breeding showed A♠K♦ for top pair. Cheatham flashed K♠K♣ as he mucked.
Michael Glazer had a bet of 2,400 in front of him from the small blind on a board of 2♦6♠4♠4♦ before an opponent in middle position moved all in for 15,000. Rob Rottman then reshoved for 25,000 in middle position, and Glazer got out of the way.
The middle-position player showed A♦7♠, while Rottman had A♣4♣ for trips. The river was the K♠, and Rottman took down the pot to send his opponent to the rail.
Mitchell Semple raised to 1,800 in the cutoff and the button called before Greg Wood three-bet to 7,500 in the small blind. Both Semple and the button called.
Wood led out for 10,000 on the A♠8♦5♦ flop, and Semple and the button again called. Wood then checked the 2♦ turn, and Semple moved all in. The button folded, but Wood snap-called for 18,400.
Semple showed 6♦4♦ for a flush, but Wood had the nut flush with A♦10♦. The river was the 9♣, and Wood doubled up.
