Lupo Collecting Chips and Bananas
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Remo Lupo raised to 1,300 in middle position and was called by an opponent on the button. The small blind tossed in his last 800 chips, and Lupo and the button went heads-up to a flop of K♥9♦8♦ for a side pot.
Lupo checked to his opponent, who bet 1,000. Lupo then moved all in, and the button quickly folded.
All-in Player: 10♥5♥
Remo Lupo: K♦10♠
Lupo, playing with two banana plushies in front of him, was ahead with top pair, and the rest of the board ran out 6♦A♠ to earn him the knockout.
"The more chips he gets, the more bananas he collects. By the time we bag, he's going to have a bunch," a tablemate said.
