Frangias Sends an Opponent Deep Into the Tank on His Way to a Double
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Demetrios Frangias and an opponent went to the turn on a board of 8♥10♠10♣5♥ when the middle-position player bet 6,300. Demetrios Frangias then moved all in for 38,100 from the button, and his opponent went deep into the tank.
"I promise I'm not slow-rolling," he told his tablemates as the minutes ticked by. The clock was eventually called, and he put in the chips to call. Frangias showed A♣10♦ for trip tens, while his opponent showed J♦10♥.
The river was the 9♦, and Frangias doubled up with his ace-kicker.
"I thought you were thinking with aces, kings, or queens. A ten you have to call," a tablemate told the middle-position player after the hand.
