Castro Gives It Right Back as Moon Scoops With Queens
Level 12
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
"This is a big one here," a tablemate said as Demetrios Frangias was all in from the big blind, while Seunghwan Moon and Federico Castro went to a flop of K♣8♣J♥ with more than 200,000 already in the pot.
Moon then bet 50,000 from early position, and Castro called in middle position. The turn was the K♦ and Moon moved all in for 137,000. Castro spent several minutes in the tank, but he eventually called to put Moon at risk.
Frangias showed 7♥7♣, while Castro had 9♥9♠. "Let's go!" Moon yelled out, shooting up from his seat and turning over Q♠Q♥. The river was the A♦ and he scooped the massive pot, sending Frangias to the rail while earning a double up off Castro.
