Stott bet another 16,000 on the K♦ turn, and Watson again called. The river was the 9♦ and Stott slowed down and checked to Watson, who bet 43,000.

"Want to see bad luck?" Stott said as he tossed 7♥7♠ into the muck, surrendering the pot to Watson.

"You shouldn't play sevens. They're bad luck here," tablemate Ryan Phan, who just hit quads with sevens, said to Stott.
