Gatlin Sends Varnell to the Rail
Level 17
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
The chips went in preflop as the small and big blind battled it out. Michael Varnell was at risk from the big blind for 152,000 against Joseph Gatlin in the small blind.
Michael Varnell: A♥10♠
Joseph Gatlin: A♠4♠
Varnell had Gatlin's hand dominated, but the flop turned the tables on Varnell when it came 4♣6♠4♥ to give Gatlin trips fours.
The 2♥ turn ended the hand as the meaningless Q♥ hit the river to eliminate Varnell.
